- Donate funds to support the AAUW Educational Foundation
- Provide presenters at monthly meetings who will inspire, educate,and help us become more aware of local organizations
- Educate members to be better able to support women’s groups and legislation affecting women and children
- Support AAUW public policy program
- Participate in book discussions: (morning, afternoon or evening), join the film group and play in the bridge group
- Participate in La Cuisine group who plan and prepare gourmet dinners for its members.
- Conduct used book sales with profits going to scholarships
- Organize fundraising trips to cultural events
- Award local scholarships to Monona Grove and La Follette High School female seniors
- Donate and lend support to University of WI-Madison’s Odyssey Project
- Annually, award scholarships from an endowed fund through the UW Foundation: the Martha L Edwards History Scholarship Fund for Women, the Elizabeth Warner Risser Fellowship Fund in Communication Arts, and the AAUW Madison Fund for Excellence
which supports a single Parent Scholarship. The endowed fund also supports an outstanding returning adult student.
