Mission Statement

AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research.

Program Tuesday September 23, 2025
7:00 pm Program: “Vietnam and the Changing Role of Women in an
Increasingly Modern Society,” presented by Tan Phan, co-owner of
Cuisine Adventure Tours, Travel with Taste. Tan Phan is a Vietnamese
refugee, born in Vietnam and evacuated before the fall of Saigon at age
12. He attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He travels
regularly to Vietnam. This year, 2025, is the 50th Anniversary of the end
of the Vietnam conflict.

Location: Odyssey Center, 2238 South Park St, room 22, in the UW
South Madison Partnership Building behind the Goodman Library
